ABOUT NEKSAG

Northeast Kansas Small Area Group was founded in the 1960s by a group of families with the desire to provide a family friendly competitive horse show environment in the region that was easy on the pocket book. Since that time, NEKSAG has evolved into an affordable and increasingly competitive circuit with many 4-H members placing at the Kansas State Fair each year.
Shows are held nearly every weekend and start with the Kick-Off in May and cease in autumn with a Fall Benefit Show each year. New members can start anytime throughout the year. Affordable membership to saddle clubs is available at an individual or family rate. NEKSAG offers some of the lowest fees per class in Northeast Kansas. We offer 100% Payback on the first 4 placing's and points are given for placings 1st through 6th. Nominated horses have points accumulated throughout the year. At the annual banquet, high point awards are given to nominated horses for each class as long as they participated at least three times in their classes and placed in the top 6 placing's. Awards include trophies, ribbons and pay back. All children 6 years and under receive a rosette and/or ribbon to keep regardless of placing and 7-18 ages group will receive 2nd & 3rd place ribbons. An Awards Banquet is held each year as the show season comes to an end. Horse families and friends get together to share success stories of the year, receive awards and participate in a fund raising auction.
